Products I regret buying

Because I am a product and makeup junkie, I do end up with many things that I regret buying. I thought I would do a blog post on it. Sorry for the stock photos of everything.

I was so happy when I bought this as my face was very dry because of another products I had been using (also listed in this post) and so when I switched this, I thought it felt lovely and would sooth my skin. Sadly, tuned out to be a big expensive mistake. Completely dried out my skin and left it looking horrible. The texture and everything is lovely and feels very rich so I thought it would be okay but I guess my skin didn't agree with the ingredients. This really shocked me as my skin is dry but not sensitive.  Just not for me sadly. However, as it is so expensive I am using it on my feet so I can use it up and it won't go to waste.

So I bought this along with the cream, thinking that they would both work to help my skin. This just did nothing at all. Didn't make me skin any brighter or nicer looking. Basically it was just useless and expensive. I have no idea what to do with this and I know that even though I love Chanel makeup their skincare range does not suit me at all.

Clarin's Blue Orchid Face Treatment Oil

Oh dear this completely dried out my skin. It's a lovely facial oil and smells divine but didn't not work for my skin at all. I had dry patches and peeling skin after using this. Very much regret buying.

Bobbi Brown Rich Chocolate Eye Palette

I am so shocked at including this in here as this was something I really wanted and went to huge lengths to get. It's not something I regret buying as the colours in the palette are lovely, it's just that the shimmery eye-shadows colours pay-off is dreadful. I applied some of the Caramel Sparkle Eye (the darker sparkly one 4th from right) and you couldn't even see it! Not even a bit of glitter. Considering how expensive it was I was very disappointed. The matt colours however are lovely and I do use this palette, however compared to the Naked 2 palette or even the Sleek makeup palettes this just pales in comparison.

My skin now is back to normal and I will do a blog post on that. In the end, I didn't go back to Pai as it's very difficult to get as you need, as you need to buy online. I decided to use Neal Yards products (amazing). Full blog post on reviewing all the products I have bought from there coming up.

Do you have any products you regret buying? Or love? Let me know in the comments below

  1. I've never tried any of those products. Good thing I haven't it seems.

An instagram haul

OMG, I have not blogged since December! Anyway, I thought I would share with you a few things I have bought over the past few months. The pictures are from my Instagram. I actually like this display more than how blogger displays import photos so will be using this more.
For my Birthday in May, my mother and I went on our annual mother and daughter holiday and this year I decided to go to Russia. It was such a beautiful country. The palaces in Saint Petersburg! Oh my goodness, I loved it. We did a River Cruise so from Saint Petersburg to Moscow with stops at a few small villages. I loved it. Anyway since I was there, I thought for my birthday I would treat myself to a bag I had wanted for ages, the Lady Dior bag. I love this bag so much, it oozes class and it an elegant, classic piece. It’s in lambskins so I have to be very careful with it but it’s such a beauty. I didn’t get the patent leather though as I found it’s too difficult to open the bag (also heard a lot from reviews not to g…

Touche Éclat Foundation & Anti-Cernes Concealer review

I had always wanted to try the Touche Éclat Foundation. I have seen so many beauty bloggers rave about this product, however I resisted for a while because I love my Chanel Vitalumière Aqua. However, after I came back from holiday, I had tanned so I decided rather than buying one shade darker in the Chanel foundation, I would try out the new YSL one.

I went to John Lewis and the lady colour matched me, I went with one shade lighter than she suggested because on my skin any type of foundation oxidises so much and leaves my skin dull.

Initial thoughts, I love how it made my skin look. My skin looked healthy and slightly dewy but not oily (I have dry skin). It doesn't feel like you are wearing anything at all. It is a very light coverage but still does even out your skin tone. I am not sure I would wear it for a night out but I love wearing it in the day. Doesn't streak and blends beautifully. I use a Real Techniques Expert face brush to apply it. I didn't particular notice any…

Luxury haul ft Chanel, Christian Louboutin and Tiffany & Co

I have been very lucky of the past few months to buy some lovely luxury designer items and so I thought I would do a post of what I have bought.
Chanel Mini navy blue wallet bag with small purse

I really wanted the Chanel WOC and so when my mum and I went to Florence on our cruise holiday I decided to go into the Chanel store and see if they had it. They did and so the lady showed me the WOC and this one. Now I personally thought I would go for the WOC, as it was black with gold hardware and this one was in navy blue. I fell in love with this one. It's in patent calf leather, navy blue in colour and with silver hardware. It is beautiful. It also comes with a small purse inside. I don't actually know the name of this one and I did try to search for it. Anyway, it has a small chain and a zip compartment inside. It can fit quite a bit in! Also it is very resilient and doesn't scratch easily.I am very ashamed though that this is my fourth Chanel bag. I remember when my dream wa…
